So Micah is quite the gingerbread house designer. I was very proud of my attempts at frosting from scratch. Here are some pics from Micah's mother's day out party as well.

Christmas Cookies

Micah is loving the change of weather! I'm so cold natured I use any cold weather day as an excuse to fire up the oven. Micah made good use of his macho home depot apron and we baked Christmas cookies. He was especially fond of the "king star." All those Christmas carols are making their mark. Don't get me started on Jingle Bells.... Micah will have another chance to cut out cookies when we get ready to make peirnik (gingerbread) for our family's Polish Christmas celebration on Sunday!!

A Blustery Day

So now I am blog obsessed. It's that or we just happen to be doing lots of fun things in warm up for the holidays. Micah and I made a kite today and had good time doing a pityful job of kite flying. Because of the awesome wind and warm weather today it was also a good day for playing in the leaves.

Ice at the Gaylord Texan

We were given tickets to an amazing Ice scuplture exhibit at the Gaylord resort in Grapevine. The boys cooperated with a car nap on the way up and it was a blast. Evidently the displays and figures were created by ice sculptors from China. It was 9 degrees inside and we all wore matching parkas. Micah was a very impressed by the free cookie they gave us at the exit!!

Micah was a little overwhelmed by the time the big ice slide came around so we didn't make it down, but we did warm up nice with our cookie and coffee. The whole resort was decked out and Mrs. Claus walked right past us with two of her reindeer. Micah was fascinated by the intricate train displays and frustrated we wouldn't let him sample the life size gingerbread house. Eventhough it's only this cold indoors here in Texas we certainly enjoyed the taste of a White Christmas. Merry Christmas!!
