Mt. Fork Christian Camp

We had a blast this week with the Senior High students at camp. We had all sorts of fun and it was most importantly a great time of spiritual growth. Both the all around guy camper and all around girl camper were from our Church. A big shout out to Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Peter, and Uncle Jacob for keeping our boys while we were hanging with such AWESOME teens.

Girl's Sleepover

Well, after a whirl wind week at PMI, what do we want to do to unwind? That's right have all night activities with the coolest youth group EVER!! Stephen and the guys went out to Cedar Hill State Park and enjoyed the rain and scorpions (right, Casey?). They had a lot of fun and because they are guys we have no photographic documentation. However, we, being girls, had three digital cameras going at once so have blow by blow photos of our sleepover!! We too enjoyed the rain but had our capture the flag in the pool!! These are some pics from our scavenger hunt and other activities!!

Taylor and popcorn, these girls tried but did not triumph over the fearless team led by me that was victorious!!

How many marshmallows can teenage girls stuff in their face??

Here we are tossin cheese puffs at our duct tape covered person target. I didn't have the heart to show you the ones covered in duct tape and cheese puffs!!

This was before we ended up covered in whip cream and drenched in pool water!!

This was one serious tournament of capture the noodle. It seriously took nearly 2 hours!!
We go to camp in a week, perhaps this all nighter was a good warm-up!! It was a serious blessing and a big shout out to my BFF Tara for joining in on the planning and fun!

Pioneer Missions Institute

We just finished a week long conference for our mission organization, Pioneer Bible translators. It is such a fun week, there are lots of missionaries home for furlough, college students getting ready for summer internships, recruits, and families interested in PBT. For the past few years I have led the preschool portion of the week and this year I had a class full of girls!! I also got to teach part of one of the adult courses. The most exciting part of the whole week was that there were so many people there who are interested in serving in Tanzania! There was even a couple there who were spending their honeymoon at the conference! Crazy! This morning when we were singing the song Days of Elijah I just got choked up when we sang; these are the days of the harvest, the fields are as white as the snow, and we are the laborers in his vineyard, declaring the Word of the Lord. It is amazing how ready the peoples of Tanzania are, and in need of the Word of the Lord. I am so excited about meeting all these future teammates. I totally forgot my camera the whole week but here is an after of Micah. Friday afternoon we were getting ready for the youth retreats and you can see the camping gear in the background. Micah fell asleep 5 minutes into Curious George!!

Big Boy Haircut

So, I am so sorry it has taken me awhile to get back to the BLOG! I've missed it. We've had a lot going on getting the summer started between the youth group, our life group, and PBT's annual missions conference PMI. I'm leading the preschool program and it has turned into a LOT of work. A true blessing but still a lot to get done!! Here are some pics of the past few weeks.

Stephen went to the zoo with us a few weekends ago. It is nice to know Caleb is bigger than a penguin now.

In fact, he's so big we finally agreed he needed a haircut, not just a mom-chop. Here is the before (it really was closer to a mullet than a mohawk)

Here's a during, he did great until she left to answer the phone, but he settled back down!!
You'll have to wait for the after!! He looks so grown up from behind, he's all ready to go off to Grandma's and get oohs and ahhs!!

And here is one of Micah reading to his brother and our friend Jaxson. Micah has really gotten into storytelling too!!
