Out Sick!!

It's been three weeks!! Three weeks of pink eye, ear infections, colds, polka-dot rashes, infections, and general irritability. And that was just the kids!! Both Stephen and I did the cold/pink eye treatments too. So after missing three weeks of church (this just when Stephen has stepped in as youth minister) the boys and I are hoping to make it church services this Sunday! Please pray to that end! Sometimes you don't know what ya got till you miss it! So please keep our boys in your prayers, this heat wave has helped too...

Micah's 3rd Birthday

So after recovering from his week of illness we had a fabulous (small) party at Chuck E Cheese (fun for him). We had it in the morning (fewer kids, calmer environment) and had some family come down. It was lots of fun.

Check out the amazing cake (I'd liketo say fat-free) Serena and Melanie whipped up for us. Seriously, all anyone talked about was how awesome the cake was, even the Chuck E Cheese lady, it tasted as good as it looks. Aidan kept asking to eat the eyes, it really was a shame how quickly they all licked the icing off for the time Serena probably took piping it on!!! Here's some pics of the fun without all the noise.

So thanks to the fam that drove in and my friends that endured the Chuck E Cheese hype with us! So, now Micah is into his terrible threes, oh yeah- he has a fever again so he'll use his new Dallas Cowboys blanket and we'll cuddle up and watch yet another week of Curious George....Does anyone have Monsters Inc. or any other my kid's been sick for over a week ideas? I could use a little change of pace...

More Pics

Here are some more Pics from TZ, these are from an orphanage we visited and a potential literacy launching point. The village here has a translation nearly completed and would be a key area to do literacy work and evangelism. You'll notice Caleb tied to me in one of the pics. My new friends were very proud of me for holding my son so near. Stephen was behind the camera for most of these so you don't get to see his handsome face!!

Tanzania

We wanted to share a little about our recent trip with PBT to Tanzania, East Africa. We were there from July to September and we LOVED it. We really experienced amazing works of God there. We helped teach a translators training course for Bible translators from over 20 languages. Joscelyn taught a literacy training course and Stephen taught such exciting topics such as Orthography and Principles of Translation. It is exciting to see so many Africans committed to translating God's message into their own heart language so that more can know His love!! We were so welcomed by all those we met and we look forward to spending more time getting to know them there in the future!! Who would have thought Caleb would have traveled 1/2 way around the world at the tiny age of 2 months. Enjoy the pics and we'd love to dialogue about them to anyone who will listen!!! Don't worry nowadays it isn't a long missionary slide show, its electronic....

Sick Super Bowl

Although delighted that the Colts won, especially Peyton Manning, we spent a pretty miserable Sunday, so we made the best of it and had a little Super Bowl party of our own. Both the boys had pink eye and Stephen and I developed it shortly thereafter. Micah also had a cold and TWO ear infections. My boys are a perfect match though, Micah loved the pig and Caleb loved the blanket!! We are all on the mend now.
